2009

Thank you for being a part of the 2009 Melbourne Fringe Festival and for your ongoing engagement with the independent arts community.

It is my great pleasure to tell you that this year’s festival was a spectacular success. Ticket sales were up 42% and our web traffic jumped by a similar amount. The media response was extremely positive and the buzz in the Festival Club each night was a delight. It’s a testament to the extraordinary, high quality, relevant work that independent artists are producing and to the value Melbourne audiences place on such work.

I want to personally acknowledge your contribution to making 2009 such an incredible year for Melbourne Fringe and thank you for being such an integral part of this success.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with you and look forward to further developing our partnership in 2010.

I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Sincerely,

Abby Allen

2008

On behalf of Melbourne Jazz, I am writing to thank you and the team at Mr Moto for the outstanding service that you provided us in the lead-up to the Melbourne Jazz 2008. Your flexibility, understanding and commitment to promoting the Festival proved absolutely invaluable.

We have received excellent feedback from patrons that the brochure and poster distribution campaign undertaken by Mr Moto resulted in heightened public awareness of our Festival.

I highly recommend that other festivals also consider undertaking a Mr Moto distribution campaign as part of an intergrated marketing program.

Yours sincerely,

Lisa Pryles

2008

The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival was the most successful Melbourne Fringe Festival yet, with increases in the number of events; the size of audiences; the amount of media coverage; and total box office takings.

Over the past five years Mr Moto has played an important role in the Festival’s growth, providing vital marketing support as our distribution partner.

During an intensive six-week marketing campaign, in 2007 Mr Moto distributed more than 100,000 items of collateral including Festival Guides and a selection of mini-guides, café posters and flyers promoting the Festival as well as specific events.

Combining Mr Moto’s comprehensive distribution network with Melbourne Fringe venues, Joseph and his team implemented a distribution strategy to create the greatest possible impact across the city. Additional support during this extremely busy time included storage management, liaison with Melbourne Fringe venues, timely top-ups and regular feedback and communication.

By partnering with Mr Moto Melbourne Fringe achieves maximum exposure, with Festival information reaching audiences across Melbourne . The escalation in awareness and continued success of the Festival is testimony to this.

We look forward to continuing the relationship in 2008.

2006

The 2006 Next Wave Festival took place in the midst of Festival Melbourne2006 and the Commonwealth Games – a jam-packed social calendar for March. Mr Moto came on board to present Next Wave’s visual presence in between these big players, and we emerged with flying colours.

With a combination of framed poster sites and free-for-all distribution sites, our projects were promoted in cafés, bars, theatres and galleries across Melbourne. Our Festival program was also widely distributed, with a special focus on festival venues and partners.

But committed distribution does not stop there. Mr Moto were always on the ground, checking sites, swapping allocations and topping up when there had been a rush. Mr Moto were also extremely supportive of the frenzy that hits the Next Wave office in festival time, responding within the day to our calls, and moving materials by the thousands without a qualm.

We’re looking forward to talking to you about 2008!

The annual Melbourne Fringe Festival makes its mark across Melbourne with the distribution support of Mr Moto. Each spring Melbourne Fringe Festival sees thousands of independent artists present events right across Melbourne in artforms including performance, comedy, music, cabaret, visual arts, movement, spoken word, circus, dance and digital art.

The overarching marketing campaign is designed to deliver a major presence for the Festival and support each individual event with access to booking and event information through the festival guide and mini guides specific to geographic areas.

Mr Moto designs distribution strategies aligned with the overall marketing campaigns to sustain the greatest impact across the city. The campaign sees more than 70,000 items of collateral distributed across a six week period. Joseph and his team manage the storage logistics and distribution, provide timely reporting and advice to ensure the most effective campaigns.

Melbourne Fringe’s presence is significant across Melbourne’s cafes, bars, cultural venues and retail outlets with a mix of festival guides, mini guides, posters, flyers and promotional items.

By partnering with Mr Moto we are guaranteed that Melbourne Fringe is highly visible right across Melbourne and Festival information reaches audiences and participants for maximum impact.

I just want to say thank-you to you and your team for doing such an amazing job. Thursday evening last week, one of our cast members was out and saw postcards already displayed in a cafe/restaurant! This was fantastic considering you had only received them hours earlier.

I cannot recommend Mr Moto highly enough. Your professionalism and integrity is commendable.

I look forward to seeing you all on the 8th July.

Kind Regards,

To Whom It May Concern,

Melbourne International Arts Festival is Melbourne’s largest annual celebration of arts and culture. As an organisation we produce an enormous range of marketing materials. The Festival takes its charter to inform the Victorian public very seriously and the distribution of our marketing materials is one of the linchpins to a successful campaign.

Our experience with using Mr Moto as our distributor for the 2003 Festival was extremely positive. Not only did Mr Moto devise a distribution plan catered to our needs and reflective of the relationships we have built across the city, they also proved to be incredibly flexible in their execution of the plan. I have no hesitation recommending Mr Moto to your company.

Yours sincerely,

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with the distribution for’ Three’s a Crowd’. Your assistance is greatly appreciated by Chunky Move.

The season performed to a sell-out audience, attracting great reviews from media and positive feedback. I’ve enclosed a couple of reviews for your interest. I hope your colleagues enjoyed the show!

Mr Moto’s new website and customer access section is really user friendly and works a treat!

Once again, thank you for your help and I hope we can work together again in the future.
